#IndieBooksBeSeen #Snippet Princess Alexia and the Dragon by Author K. Meador @authorkmeador

Today's Sunday Snippet is from my children's book Princess Alexia and the Dragon. Enjoy!

Jasmine Marie, wearing her new nightgown, carried a blanket and her favorite doll over to Papa and climbed in his lap. She loved cuddling with Papa, especially on stormy nights. He wrapped his arms around her in a big hug.

"Jasmine. Your mom tells me you are not sharing well with others in school. Is this true?”

She fidgeted, and with a quiet voice whispered, “Sometimes.”

“I have a story I want to tell you about sharing.”

“Does it have a princess in it?” Jasmine asked.

“As a matter of fact, it does. But the important part is how she rescued her country from a flying, fire-breathing dragon because she understood that sharing is important.”
He smiled at his granddaughter and began…

In a land far, far away there was a small country called Benton. Deep in the heart of Benton was a thriving town named Gravetteville. It had a Main Street with many connecting side roads. In the middle of town loomed a large castle with towering peaks that reached the low hovering clouds. Inside the castle lived the King and Queen, along with their nine-year-old daughter, Alexia.
